This project is a prime example of 'learning by doing' through experimenting with AI. While addressing an organizational challenge, I sought an algorithmic solution to improve my time management, aiming to maximize the return on a single effort.

For this reason, finding myself at a point in my life where I had to, so to speak, 'split' myself between my interest in global geopolitics—particularly the conflict between US-Israel and Iran—and studying new AI tools, I decided to bring them together. As I’ve always preferred to do, I combined these two worlds and built this platform, which is the direct fruit of my studies and interests.

To make it happen, I dove headfirst into a cutting-edge tech stack: I built the core business logic and the integrated web scraping engine using Rust for ultimate speed and memory safety, and paired it with PostgreSQL utilizing its vector extensions (pgvector) to power advanced AI-driven contextual and semantic searches.

What it does

In short, the platform is a global news aggregator that reorganizes events in an orderly, highly readable, and easy-to-navigate format, while also offering both simple and advanced briefing services. The calendar is designed to offer in-depth insights, connections between news stories, and a commenting system, while constantly updating the news as new information emerges to enrich the facts.

The software was originally born out of personal necessity, then I decided to make it public and expand it because others might find it just as useful—especially since it helps anticipate events and plan business trips well in advance
